Can you work after hours in a CBD building?

Yes, and for a lot of retail and office work we have to. Most Brisbane City buildings restrict noisy trades to outside trading hours and want the work staged around the tenancy. That changes the program, not the job — it just needs booking in with building management early so the loading dock and lift access are locked in.

Do you do commercial fit-out floors as well as bathrooms?

Yes. Fit-out floors in the CBD are mostly large-format over a levelled slab, with the setout driven by the shopfront line and the lift lobby rather than the walls. The critical bits are movement joints at the right centres and a slab that has been ground flat before the tile goes down.

Can you tile an apartment balcony in a high-rise?

We do, but a balcony over a habitable room is a waterproofing job first and a tiling job second. In apartment stock it usually also needs body corporate approval and a compliant membrane, so the paperwork starts before the strip-out. We can talk you through what your building will ask for.
