Wall and floor tiling across Brisbane
Whole floors, hallways, living areas, kitchens and commercial fit-outs. Large-format porcelain, timber-look plank, travertine, natural stone and patterned encaustic — set out from the sightlines that matter so the joints run true the length of the house.
The floor is the biggest thing in the room
A floor is the single largest surface anyone sees, and it is the one thing in a renovation you cannot adjust later. Two things decide whether it looks right: how flat the substrate is before you start, and where the first tile goes.
Large-format tile in particular will not hide a bad slab. If the floor is out, the lippage between tiles shows under every light in the room. So the substrate gets checked, ground or levelled where it needs to be, and only then does the setout get marked.
Timber-look plank done properly
Plank tile is everywhere in Brisbane now and it is the format most often laid badly. The offset matters — a straight half-brick bond on a long plank exaggerates any bow in the tile and gives you a rolling floor. Run at a third or a quarter offset, in the right direction relative to the light and the length of the hall, it reads like a timber floor and lasts like a tile.
Residential and commercial
Houses, renovations, extensions and commercial fit-outs. The gallery on this site includes commercial floor work as well as residential — same setout discipline, different program. On commercial jobs we work to the site sequence and around other trades.

Questions
Wall and floor tiling — questions.
Can you tile over an existing tiled floor?
Sometimes. It depends on what is underneath, how well it is stuck down, and what the extra height does to your doors and thresholds. We check it on the measure rather than guessing — if the existing floor is drummy or moving it comes up, because a new floor is only ever as good as the one it is bonded to.
What size tile suits an open-plan living area?
Large-format usually, because fewer grout lines make a space read larger and calmer. The limit is the substrate — the bigger the tile, the flatter the floor underneath has to be. We will tell you on the measure whether your slab will take the size you have picked.
Do you tile whole houses?
Yes. Whole-floor jobs through living areas, hallways, kitchens and bedrooms are regular work, on both renovations and new builds.
How long before we can walk on it?
Foot traffic is usually the next day and full use after the grout has cured. We will give you the actual timings for your job on the day, because they change with the adhesive, the tile and the weather.
